The new Taronga Institute of Science & Learning is currently building a global centre of excellence for conservation science and learning. The institute enables Taronga to expand the Zoo’s capability to undertake leading research while inspiring individuals and communities to get involved in securing a future for the wild.
Beginning session 1 of 2017, the Institute will be offering workshops that have been tailored to complement undergraduate university study. During a 90 minute workshop, students dive into themes at the heart of Taronga’s mission, explore case studies and get an insiders perspective from our experts.
Workshop content is developed and delivered by our researchers, veterinary staff, qualified educators, curators and keepers. Also included in your enrolment are pre and post-visit activities and assessments. These will assist students in getting the most out of their experience and provide opportunities to apply concepts to a broader curriculum.
